The inspiration
After taking a walk on Bourbon Street with my family, I decided would make some Mardi Gras inspired graphics and materials.
Before I jump into the project and start sketching, I always ask the question to myself-
Why does this need to be made?
Who’s going to see it?
Where will this be shown?
Once these questions are answered then It is easier to find the heart of the project.
The WHY
These graphics are being made to promote tourism to enjoy the events and Parades to Mardi Gras events all over the US. So these graphics can be used as a template and available option for people focused starting the celebration.
The Who
These graphics can be seen by all ages. It’s an event meant to be enjoyed by all who can come. Bring your beads, masks, (both face and eyes lol safety first until the pandemic is no more) and your jolly spirit and let’s clobber a king cake!
The WHERE
Yes, I do agree that New Orleans is the best place in the US to enjoy this event but it’s not the only place that this event is held. States all over the country can and have held this event. It’s just that these graphics are available for anyone that want to enjoy the planning part and not the graphics and marketing visuals.
